Hello! My name is Rebecca Miles, and I’m a New York–based visual artist and photo archivist. Currently, I am studying Photography and Related Media at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

My artwork explores the intersection of memory and vernacular photography—examining how my personal experiences, family history, and the artworks I encounter every day shape my understanding of the world around me.

Influenced by the media and visual cultures that I’ve consumed since childhood, I view image-making as a documentation of life and evidence of existence.

I work with both analog and digital photography formats. Found materials—such as food labels, newspaper clippings, and other discarded ephemera often make their way into my collages.

Outside of the studio, I love to dance, listen to music, and visit museums.
